As a husband and wife team, we have been growing 

                         and painting gourds for over seven years, although

                         both of maintain full time jobs the passion we share

                         is painting together.  Our gourd room is in a constant

                         state of evolution.  For the most part we have taught

                         each other or ourselves the techniques we use.  We have

                         also participated in several painting classes, particularly

                         at gourd shows that have been  held in the Midwest.  We

                         are proud members  We are proud members of the American

                         Gourd Society and Julie is certified in Donna Dewberry’s

                         One Stroke painting.  The variety of scenes and characters

                         that can be created with the gourd media are what we

                         find to be one of the greater joys of this type of art. 

                         We work mostly with acrylic paint but find modeling clays,

                         burning accents, and leather dyes really enhance the flavor

                         of the project.  It is a treat to be able to put a seed

                         into soil and end up with an art piece that someone else

                         is able to enjoy.  We welcome you to see and experience
